Examinations may be easy or difficult, depending on the road you plan for your examinations. As the saying goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
Planning is an essential stage in everyone’s lives. You intend for a trip and choose the places to go. You intend your timetable daily and you plan to play one hour of Halo 3 tonight from 10pm to 11pm. You intend to sleep at 11pm, or your mother plans for you yourself to sleep at 11pm. Planning is undeniably important in order that you may make sure you have covered everything.
How then, do you start planning your examinations and what qualities do you need to achieve planning for your examinations?
The initial question many individuals ask is how early should I prepare myself for the examinations? This will depend on the consistency of yourself and how many subjects that you have to take. For my university examinations, I normally plan 3 – 4 weeks of studying time 2021 waec runs, and that is if I have already been consistently following tutorials and lectures. If you’re a person who hasn’t been consistent with your work, you probably need a few weeks more to brush up on your foundation. You have to also be prepared to adhere to your plan, else everything will fail.
When I plan, I print out the a monthly calender with the examination dates written on it. Then I start by counting how many days I’ve from now till the examinations, and I divide my time equally. If you’re weaker in another subject, you might have to sacrifice time faraway from studying your best subject and dedicating it to your weaker ones.
If you have been consistently following up on your lessons, your foundations should be good enough. Thus you are able to spend your time practicing on past year papers in order that you can get a feel of how good you are. Do make sure to time yourself sometimes so that you discover how fast you are able to complete a particular paper. Past year papers from the ten year series, along with school papers from other schools are recommended.
Do remember that it is better to work with harder questions, than to work with easy ones and think you got it right, only to be complacent and flunk the examination.
Another tip that everyone should already know just is to examine for a particular examination if you are going for it the next day. As an example, if tomorrow’s your chemistry paper, study chemistry and not physics. If you have two papers for a passing fancy day, do be sure you can complete all your studies promptly!
